We are committed to using Irish as the primary medium of communication for students majoring in Irish. Our programs play a vital role in preserving, sustaining, and celebrating Ireland’s Gaelic literary and linguistic heritage, while addressing the needs of the Irish language sector in local and international job markets. We support students in developing the competence to engage confidently and independently in the Irish language community and secure rewarding employment upon graduation. On the History Minor pathway, students explore the processes shaping modern society through selected topics at each level, including Film and the Vietnam War, Witchcraft and Magic, the Russian Revolution, United States Foreign Policy, and more. History is presented in innovative ways, emphasizing interactive workshops over traditional lectures and seminars, where students create podcasts, digital presentations, design websites, organize conferences, and produce research portfolios.
