About the course

This course integrates music performance, composition, and critical analysis with Korean language acquisition and cultural immersion. Students will spend their third year in Seoul at one of six partner universities, exploring modules in performance, composition, musicology, ethnomusicology, psychology, industries, and technology. Through intensive Korean instruction from beginner level, focusing on writing, summarization, translation, debate, and presentations, participants develop fluency and a deep understanding of Korean society. This program fosters independent musicianship and research skills, preparing graduates for careers in the music industry by combining language study with a flexible array of music options.Why pursue this degree?
