Linguistics and Modern Languages & Cultures, BA (Hons)

This programme integrates linguistics with modern languages and cultures to enhance your understanding of language mechanics. You will examine the structure and function of language while applying this knowledge to one or two foreign languages, exploring their history, literature, and cultural contexts. By splitting your studies between the School of English and the School of Languages and Cultures, you can select from modules on topics like language acquisition, theoretical linguistics, gender in language, accents, dialects, visual cultures, literary studies, post-colonialism, and film.
