English and Philosophy are mutually supportive subjects that provide distinct but corresponding methodologies for our understanding of the world. The joint study of English literary cultures (including theatre, film and creative writing) and Philosophy (including philosophy of language, ethics, metaphysics and logic) will throw you into some of the oldest debates around the very possibility of meaningful life.Delve into some of the oldest debates, exploring the human experience through literature and philosophical thought.Literature and philosophical thought are both interested in questioning the very nature of our existence.
