About the course

Our three-year BSc Chemistry at Sheffield focuses on cutting-edge science addressing global challenges, with sustainability integrated from the start. Accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), it provides essential knowledge and skills for a successful career, including fundamentals in years one and two, followed by optional modules in environmental, biological, medicinal, computational, and astro-chemistry. Regular small-group tutorials, led by personal tutors and experts, deepen understanding. In year three, students explore advanced concepts, specialised modules, and a group research project in state-of-the-art labs.
