About the course

Be inspired by world-leading academics to develop essential, industry-ready skills and acquire rigorous knowledge of accounting and financial management's role within organisations. This programme explores how accounting supports decision-making, shapes information systems, and promotes socially responsible financial practices. Beyond numerical techniques, it builds broader competencies like digital literacy, teamwork, communication, and business awareness, enabling versatile career paths. Students examine the societal, environmental, and stakeholder impacts of financial decisions, utilising our industry-standard Trading Room with Bloomberg and Refinitiv Eikon terminals. Additionally, a placement year option between the second and third years facilitates seamless transitions into professional roles. This course is Triple Crown accredited by AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB, offering exemptions from professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, and ICAEW, providing a head start toward chartered accountancy. A dedicated employability team assists with placements, internships, skill development, and career planning. The department also fosters community through Balance and Belonging events, helping students build networks and a sense of belonging within the Management School.
