Food scientists examine the properties of food and ingredients to ensure their safe use and consumption. The Food Science (Honours) degree, focused on food technology and nutrition, provides a strong foundation in food and nutritional sciences, preparing graduates for careers in industry, government, and research organizations.Students explore key areas including food chemistry, food processing and nutrition, product design and enquiry projects, professional food practice, food systems management, and specialised research for a thesis project. This four-year program is offered in two disciplines: Food Science & Technology and Food Science & Nutrition.
