The Faculty of Science and UNSW Business School offer a double degree program enabling students to earn a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Materials Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce after 5.5 years of successful study. Designed for aspiring materials engineers, it builds skills in technical management alongside deeper insights into the economic and social dimensions of the profession.The materials science and engineering component delivers theoretical and practical expertise, positioning graduates at the forefront of innovation in lighter, greener, and stronger materials. The commerce component provides a strong foundation in business principles with flexibility to specialize in one of more than ten majors—from accounting to innovation, strategy, and entrepreneurship—allowing customization to personal interests and career aspirations.
