Structural Engineering with Architecture, MEng (Hons)

Civil engineers solve complex problems through interdisciplinary teamwork to address societal challenges, while architects envision and plan the built environment. This programme, taught jointly with the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA) at Edinburgh College of Art, integrates structural engineering and architecture to foster sustainable building design and professional licensure.In Year 1, half your time focuses on architecture, continuing later with options for architectural research projects. You will master structural engineering fundamentals, applying scientific and modern tools to infrastructure. Drawing on expertise in novel materials, design methods, and construction impacts, the programme offers industry ties via an advisory board, graduate interactions, advanced facilities, field trips, and team-based teaching in a leading UK architectural school.
