The UK’s only full undergraduate ethnology programme focuses on Scotland’s cultural expressions—customs, beliefs, social organisation, music, and language—comparing with other nations to address identity, past-present dynamics, and future shaping.Over four years, pre-honours years introduce Gaelic (from beginner level), Celtic civilisation, oral traditions, and electives across disciplines.
