Reproductive biology explores the scientific principles governing reproduction in humans and other mammals. The course examines key requirements for successful reproduction, including the production of viable gametes, fertilization, implantation in a receptive uterus, formation of a placenta to support fetal development, and full-term delivery. Advances in this field have driven innovations in assisted conception and transformed reproductive medicine and veterinary practices. To teach in state schools in England or Wales, qualified teacher status (QTS) is required. However, this course does not award QTS.
