Mathematics and Physics, BSc (Hons)

This programme enables in-depth study of these closely related subjects on an equal basis. In Years 1 and 2, you can explore additional courses in other areas, such as informatics, or from the University's diverse offerings, including philosophy or languages. Later, you may choose to specialise in specific aspects of mathematics or physics, investigate the connections between the subjects, or pursue a wide range of topics. Throughout the programme, time is evenly divided between the two subjects, and it is typically possible to switch to a single honours programme in either subject during the first two years.For those opting for second-year entry, this degree offers an accelerated path, allowing you to begin studies in Year 2 and complete the BSc in three years instead of four. This route focuses primarily on mathematics from the outset, bypassing the broader subject exploration of the initial years.
