The programme balances time equally between mathematics and business, with opportunities to explore an additional subject in Year 1. Students can later specialise in specific areas, explore interdisciplinary connections, or pursue a wide range of topics.Business studies prepare graduates for the social, political, and cultural challenges confronting modern organisations, including businesses, governments, and non-profits. Participants develop key competencies in finance, strategy, marketing, human resource management, data analytics, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The Business School offers development opportunities, such as undergraduate Edinburgh Awards with professional mentoring, alongside Personal and Professional Development in Year 2 and Effective and Responsible Leadership in Years 3 or 4. Additional engagement includes business societies, events, and peer-support schemes.
