Our joint programmes enable students to pursue law in conjunction with another discipline, such as German, over a four-year period. You will engage in a variety of courses from both the Law School and the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures. The LLB Law and German degree fosters in-depth knowledge of legal theory, concepts, and principles, while helping you achieve a professional level of German proficiency.Through this programme, you will enhance your German language skills, including listening, speaking, presentation, reading, writing, and translation. Additionally, you will explore the enduring international impact of German-language culture through studies of literature, film, and theatre in their historical and political contexts. The programme includes a mandatory year abroad in Year 3 at a German-speaking institution, offering a culturally immersive experience that further develops your legal and linguistic abilities.
