The MA in Greek Studies focuses on ancient Greek language and literature, alongside courses exploring the broader context of the ancient Greek, Roman, and Byzantine worlds. Ancient Greek, the language in which many foundational Western concepts were first expressed, underpins modern European and global thought.This programme provides advanced training in ancient Greek, enabling you to read texts from archaic Greece through Late Antiquity and Byzantium in political, religious, and philosophical contexts. You can also take courses on Greek-speaking world history and culture.
