This joint honours programme enables students to achieve near-native fluency in French through intensive study at Edinburgh and a full year abroad. Participants will explore French culture, including literature, cinema, social movements, and philosophical ideas, drawing from materials spanning the Middle Ages to the present. Specialist courses, led by experts, cover areas like post-colonial and gender studies.In politics, students examine the theory and practice of governance, including how institutions create rules, the dynamics of power, and questions of justice and societal conflicts.
