This programme integrates business and law studies to address the social, political, environmental, and cultural challenges confronting modern businesses, governments, and not-for-profit organisations. It highlights key connections between law—particularly in property rights and contracting—and business practices, while reflecting the global dynamics of contemporary management. Grounded in Scots law, the curriculum includes specialist courses in business and legal subjects, alongside exposure to the legal systems of other UK regions, the European Union, and beyond. Taught by leading professionals and researchers, students develop competencies such as authentic leadership, ethical business behaviour, entrepreneurial skills, human resource management, and effective communication, preparing them for roles in accountancy, finance, strategy, marketing, data analytics, and innovation. The programme fosters a supportive learning environment through extensive pastoral and professional support from the Student Experience Team, along with opportunities for co-curricular activities and skill development via the Student Development Team. Further options include undergraduate Edinburgh Awards for personal and professional development in Years 2, 3, or 4, participation in business societies and events, and the chance to study abroad in Year 3.
