About the course

Beyond the foundational principles of personality, psychopathology, and psychotherapy, this psychology program encompasses social, developmental, biological, and cognitive psychology, as well as research methodologies. Students will examine topics such as perception, consciousness, learning theories, memory, cognition, emotion, motivation, and stress, while engaging in studies on health, wellbeing, nutrition, counselling, virtual care, and interventions for psychological health. The program adheres to the Scientist-Practitioner Model, applying research knowledge to real-world situations to address human challenges. It provides a foundation for advanced studies toward becoming a practising psychologist. To register, you must complete a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) Honours and a Master of Clinical Psychology (2 years full-time), or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Australian Psychological Society.
