A vertical double degree means you will graduate with a bachelor and master degree within fiveyears, fast-tracking your ability to lead and contribute to complex renewable energy projects, and lead the future of sustainable energy and renewable power systems.
All domestic students who enter the bachelor component of the vertical double in 2024 and 2025 will receive a Commonwealth Support Place (CSP) for the mastercomponent.
Your degree begins with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at QUT. You will choose from two majors:
In your fifth year, you will complete the Master of Renewable Energy, allowing you to graduate with two degrees in five years.

In your first year, you will commence the bachelor portion of your vertical double degree and choose from two majors:
Electrical
Electrical and Renewable Power
In your fifth year, you will commence the master portion of your degree, allowing you to graduate with two degrees in five years.
Work Integrated Learning
During this course you are required to complete 60 days (equivalent to 450 hours) of approved work experience for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) component.
