Opportunities for industry work experience, international study tours, and professional networking ensure graduates possess versatile skills applicable to fields like game design, information technology, health, education, science, engineering, and emerging roles in web/mobile app design, UX/IxD, wearable technology, interactive exhibitions, health innovation, data visualization, virtual reality, robotics, and communication design.The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) provides access to advanced research facilities and practical training with real-world impact. Combined with interaction design expertise, it prepares students for careers in product design, development, structural engineering, transport, and consultancy, with options to specialize in majors such as civil, computer and software systems, electrical and aerospace, electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, medical, or chemical process engineering. Work Integrated Learning is a core component, requiring 60 days (450 hours) of approved engineering work experience to build a portfolio of professional competencies.
