This four-year integrated Master’s course equips students with the expertise and practical skills needed to become registered physiotherapists in health and social care settings. At QMU, you’ll benefit from a supportive learning environment with small class sizes, high student satisfaction (ranked 5th in the UK for Physiotherapy, Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024), and annual placements. The programme balances theory and practice, leading to eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council and membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. On this course, you’ll develop abilities to deliver safe, person-centred care through collaborative learning, modules in rehabilitation, cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, and neurological physiotherapy, and extensive practice-based placements. Assessment involves practical exams and coursework. Note that physiotherapy is demanding; consider career research and shadowing beforehand. An option exists to switch to a BSc (Hons) route after Year Two, still allowing HCPC registration.
