Social Work, BSW (Hons)

Social work is a vocational field designed to educate and train students as qualified professionals who address community and personal challenges on the front lines. These workers deliver essential care services for people of all ages in need and exercise legal powers to tackle issues such as child abuse, vulnerable adults, mental health problems, and offender support.The School of Sociology, Social Policy and Social Work at Queen's University is a top UK centre for social work education, ranked first among 74 institutions in The Times Good University Guide 2010. Our programs combine academic study with assessed practice placements, supported by agency partners and practice teachers in various local settings.
