About the course

The BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production centres on creative storytelling as a driver for social and political change, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to explore the human condition through film. Students develop essential skills in producing, script development, direction, cinematography, sound design, and editing, while learning industry-standard processes from pre-production to post-production. Practical projects emphasize visual narrative, drama adaptation, and sustainable practices, encouraging reflection on creative decisions, ethical standards, and experimentation with narrative structures.A year-long Diploma in Creative Computing, situated between Years 2 and 3, introduces coding to enhance creative practice without requiring prior experience. The final year allows students to produce original short films for industry screenings, supported by ScreenSkills accreditation, preparing graduates for careers in film, high-end television, and creative industries through rigorous training and real-world application.
