Through live and directed design projects, you will create creative, intelligent proposals for existing buildings via site investigations, mastering the interplay between context and adaptation. Supported by studies in design, communication, history, theory, construction, environment, and management, you will engage in site visits and a European study trip to enrich your learning.Opt for an additional study abroad year before your final year or follow the standard path, both fostering expertise and global citizenship. Build a portfolio of directed and self-directed projects, showcase it at a Newcastle exhibition and Interior Educators in London, and progress to our accredited one-semester Postgraduate Certificate in Interior Architecture—satisfying ARB Part I criteria with your undergraduate studies for specialist status in building adaptation and creative reuse.
