Architecture, BA (Hons)

Northumbria’s RIBA-validated, ARB-accredited Architecture BA (Hons) is a studio-based course designed to equip aspiring architects with essential skills through professional input and authentic design projects. Core themes include design creativity, history and theory, technology and environment, practice management and law, and architectural communication, delivered via lectures and practical projects.The programme emphasises context-driven design for specific people and places, culminating in two major final-year projects—one rural, one urban—to foster a personal approach. Students explore environment and systems integration, construction, structural, environmental, sustainable, and cultural design, plus a European field trip to experience influential buildings and cities. Graduates gain ARB/RIBA Part 1 exemptions and LAM accreditation for Malaysian registration.
