This program integrates the analysis of historical documents and archaeological artifacts to explore the lifestyles of past societies. It primarily focuses on the period from 400 CE to the present, with optional modules covering various eras and regions. Students will gain practical experience through at least four weeks of excavation fieldwork in their first two years, plus artefact handling at the University-led Great North Museum.
