About the course

With the Bachelor of Media Communication, you can specialise in journalism, media, public relations or screen, and build a portfolio of real work. Learn from leading industry professionals and use the same sound, recording and editing equipment as global professional media in our Media Lab.

What you will learn

Screen industries, technologies and cultures are changing faster than ever before. From Australian, Asian and European screen cultures through to Hollywood, TV and newer screen formats, this specialisation gives you an understanding of the transformations happening that inform contemporary media ecologies. How has the shift from local to global and analog to digital economies affected society? How is the representation of gender, race and class on screen addressed? Develop the ability to tackle these issues alongside conceptual and practical video production skills for a broad range of media platforms and screen cultures.
