It covers technical areas such as programming, databases, modelling, visualisation and analysis, as well as relevant legal and ethical issues.A minor in Data science will give a technical depth component to students in Information Technology (IT) and Computer Science. It is also portable, and will provide valuable practical skills to students from other disciplines that generate and deal with large amounts of data – from the sciences, through to business, commerce the humanities and health.
