About the course

Psychology and neuroscience form a rapidly evolving field, driven by advanced neuroimaging techniques that enable real-time observation of neural correlates in cognitive processes and behaviors. Integrating these with psychological principles provides deeper insights into human behavior and has advanced understanding of psychiatric disorders like depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia, informing more effective treatments and improving patient outcomes. This BPS-accredited course encompasses core psychological elements, including lifespan development, biopsychology, research methods, social, critical, and individual differences, alongside specialized modules blending psychology and neuroscience for unique perspectives on behavior, cognition, and mental health. Students apply these insights to enhance wellbeing and performance through interactive learning, developing skills in digital literacy, data science, and critical thinking. Taught by diverse experts, the program offers access to cutting-edge facilities like EEG, fNIRS, TMS, tDCS, eye-tracking, and physiological measurement labs. Additional support includes personal tutoring, the Rise skills program, optional study abroad in partner countries (Spain, Italy, Sweden, Malaysia, USA, Canada, Australia), and a placement year for practical experience, preparing graduates for careers in research, clinical neuroscience, healthcare, and more.
