Our integrated Master's in Biomedical Science provides an advanced understanding of biomedical practice, deepening knowledge of biological principles underlying human physiology, health disorders, and treatments. Building from foundational principles, students advance to specialist topics including cell and molecular biology, physiology, immunology, microbiology, and diagnostic/research techniques, culminating in a major independent laboratory-based research project in their chosen area.Professionally accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (up to 2024 intake, with reaccreditation pending from 2025) and The Royal Society of Biology, the programme delivers research-informed education and valued practical skills. Pioneering research in lifelong health, ageing, microbiology, and vascular biology informs teaching in the state-of-the-art Dalton building, featuring world-class facilities, specialist labs (e.g., blood biochemistry, biomechanics), self-paced resources, and integrated technical skills modules to track and demonstrate professional competencies.
