Build a strong foundation in contemporary business through La Trobe's Bachelor of Business. This flexible degree prepares you to excel in a digitally disrupted world and advance your ideal career in business.In your first year, you will explore various business disciplines and develop core skills in management, organisational structures, data analytics, and ethical practices. You can select from a wide array of majors, minors, and second majors, while pairing your major with complementary studies from other fields.

What you will learn

As digital and operational disruption continues to radically re-shape the global business landscape, business leaders need to be agile, innovative, responsible and entrepreneurial to navigate this increasingly challenging environment. The Enterprise major will provide you with the enterprise knowledge and skills required to contribute effectively to business creation, development and change, either from the perspective of your own business venture, working for an existing business or as a business consultant. The major will develop understanding of fundamental business functions including finance, marketing and ethical practice with a focus on applying innovative and entrepreneurial thinking to startup business design or existing business strategic modification in the digital and disruptive business era.

Finance. Learn the finance knowledge and skills to analyse business performance, assess financing and growth alternatives and the quantitative impact of strategic business decisions.

Consumer behaviour. Discover how business and society connect, and understand customer trends and behaviour to develop or position a business to maximise opportunities and growth.
