The MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a five-year program that shares its first three years with the BEng, offering a broad curriculum in topics ranging from low-current electronics to high-power systems. Students then progress to advanced studies in years four and five, focusing on master's-level technical subjects and engineering management, alongside a six-month industrial placement bridging the summer after year four and the start of the final semester. In year one, core modules include circuit theory, digital design, mathematics, computer programming, and electronic design, with electives like mechanics or physics. Subsequent years build on this with embedded programming, signals, electromechanical systems, energy systems, analogue electronics, and group projects. Graduates are highly employable in industries such as Bosch and Rolls Royce, and the program is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology for Chartered Engineer registration.
