Adult Nursing, BSc (Hons)

From September 2025, this course will be delivered under the new code HU02; applicants for that start date should use this code. This degree blends flexible, interactive digital learning with practical clinical placements to prepare students for professional registration as adult nurses. Adult nurses provide holistic support—physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social—to individuals across all ages. The program equips learners with essential knowledge, skills, and behaviors to address diverse health needs, combining virtual simulations and on-campus sessions with half the curriculum spent in real-world placements. Students must remain in the UK for theory and practice modules, with some on-campus requirements for clinical skills.Upon completion, graduates are eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. The course emphasizes evidence-based care, collaboration in multidisciplinary teams, and professional development. Study involves one theory module at a time, followed by assessments, alongside extended placement modules to meet regulatory standards. Financial support includes a minimum £5,000 annual government payment for home learners, with extras for childcare. Modules span becoming a professional practitioner, enhanced care approaches, and complex decision-making, assessed through coursework, exams, simulations, and placements.
