To help you prepare for an exciting career, you may have the opportunity to undertake a one-year paid placement. Our Professional Liaison Unit (PLU) will provide you with extensive support to help you find a placement and has longstanding relationships with an impressive and diverse range of companies. These include Bloomberg, Microsoft, Barclays, JP Morgan, Disney, IBM and more. Placements are paid up to £25,000 pro rata per year, with some organisations choosing to exceed this. That is why our graduates are very successful in finding employment in a variety of rewarding organisations, such as American Express, Close Brothers Group, Debenhams, FDM, SBC Systems, Sainsbury’s, Roofoods and KPMG.Explore your interests through a research project chosen from a wide variety of mathematical topics – past projects have included everything from life-saving mathematics in medical imaging, to wallpaper patterns.Accreditation:Good performance in certain modules can lead to exemption recommendations from professional examinations of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries."
