About the course

This course is subject to approval for 2025 entry and builds on our international reputation in publishing, media, and the creative industries. The first year is shared with BA English, where students explore the written word across eras and forms, from Shakespeare to contemporary works like those of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. By graduation, participants will master creative and critical communication, audience analysis, and digital publishing navigation, guided by lecturers with industry experience. Opportunities include work placements or projects to gain practical skills.Located in London, home to leading publishers, the programme fosters an understanding of modern publishing through specialised training in pitching, user profiling, and product innovation. Students benefit from expert faculty passionate about disseminating written works and can enhance employability via placements in the city's vibrant Knowledge Quarter. Assessment involves coursework such as essays, professional portfolios, group projects, presentations, and live events.
