This course, subject to approval for 2025 entry, draws on our global reputation in creative writing, media, and creative industries. The first year is shared with the BA English programme, where students explore the written word across time and cultures, from Shakespeare to modern works by authors like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. By graduation, participants will master professional and critical communication through written and spoken forms, while developing specialised skills in contemporary creative writing, such as short stories, literary journalism, screenplays, and game dialogue. Students will emerge with a strong portfolio, immersed in world literature amid Central London's inspirational setting, and guided by expert lecturers focused on creativity.Assessment involves diverse coursework and practical assignments, including essays, professional portfolios, reflective and creative projects, group work like presentations and performances, and live showcase events.
