From the impact and consequences of the pandemic to the fight against global warming and greater sustainability economics touches on all areas of modern life. This economics degree provides a thorough understanding of economic theory, with a focus on the practical link between theory and real-world application. You’ll learn the mathematics and statistics that underpin economics and develop quantitative and analytical skills to evaluate wider social and policy issues. To best fit your interests, from year 2 the degree offers you the opportunity to focus on either the economics or the economics and econometrics pathway depending on the level of quantitative skills you wish to develop.
