You will gain a broad understanding of business from a marketing perspective and you will explore the extent to which it is central to strategy for many businesses. You will study the techniques and approaches used by businesses to build an understanding of their customers and to target their offerings appropriately.You will learn about a wide range of marketing issues including the marketing mix, consumer behaviour, branding and advertising. The changing nature of marketing will be an important component of your studies. Marketing is covered both by specialist modules and electives that reflect the variety of the marketing function in contemporary businesses and provide an excellent basis on which to enter a career in marketing.The Business with Marketing pathway will equip you with core and specialised marketing knowledge along with transferable skills that prepare you for a wide range of roles, such as specialist advertising and PR agencies or within the marketing team of a large organisation.At Bayes we value sustainable, ethical business and we embed it into our curriculum. You will also take a career-focused module suitable for your chosen course to help you prepare for entering the job market.The BSc (Hons) Business with Marketing pathway is available as a three-year degree, or four-year degree for those who wish to take up a one-year work placement sandwich option or to take a sandwich year studying abroad. The four-year degree offers excellent opportunities to gain relevant work experience to prepare you for your career, and to make contacts in the world of business. You also have the option to apply for a study abroad sandwich year at one of our highly-respected partner institutions across the world. In an increasingly globalised business environment this is excellent preparation. There are six BSc Business Management degree pathways taught at Bayes: BSc Business Management, BSc Business with Finance, BSc Business with Marketing, BSc Business Management with Social Purpose, BSc Business Management, Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship and BSc International Business. At any time during the first-one-and-a-half years of the degree, students can switch to a different pathway, subject to the availability of places.
