The primary goal of our Media, Journalism and Culture course is to prepare you as a well-informed citizen in a media-saturated world. It examines the diverse aspects of journalism, media, culture, and communications, analyzing their effects on society, politics, and popular culture amid globalization and social change. The program offers job-specific skills, such as research methods and optional journalistic practice, alongside transferable abilities applicable to various sectors. Grounded in the idea that media and cultural industries are central to modern society, the course emphasizes academic and analytical approaches over practical training, and it does not provide vocational journalism education. You will engage in a vibrant intellectual setting with opportunities for personal growth through career events, supported by internationally recognized lecturers. Distinctive elements include studying in the Guardian's top-rated School for Journalism and Public Relations (2016 and 2017), exploring diverse modules like Managing Media Communications and War Politics and Propaganda, accessing Erasmus and Study Abroad programs, and participating in regular careers workshops to enhance employability.
