Civil and environmental engineers design, build, and maintain the infrastructure shaping daily life, emphasizing environmental challenges like waste management, contaminated land, and water treatment. This accredited MEng programme equips students with essential knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience through laboratory sessions, field trips, projects, and design classes. Participants tackle real-world problems individually and in multidisciplinary groups, fostering teamwork, communication, and professional skills in an open-access makerspace.Professionally accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and Institute of Highway Engineers, it fully meets Incorporated Engineer requirements and partially meets Chartered Engineer standards. Industry-informed content, delivered by chartered engineers and academics, features strong design elements, advanced management training, and a direct pathway to Chartered status via specialist labs, workshops, and collaborative projects.
