Chemistry plays a vital role in addressing global challenges, from advancing green technologies to developing health treatments. This accredited four-year degree incorporates a year of professional employment in the third year, allowing students to build practical skills and earn a salary while gaining real-world experience.The program provides a strong foundation in chemistry fundamentals with a research focus. The first two years emphasize core concepts and their real-world applications, while the third and fourth years shift toward advanced analysis, synthesis, and problem-solving. In the final year, students undertake an extended research project within an academic group and acquire hands-on lab experience to enhance their research, mathematical, and computational abilities. Graduates qualify for full membership in the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) and can pursue Chartered Chemist status, with many valuing the independence gained through industrial placements.
