The Brunel Mechanical Engineering MEng programme offers an additional year of advanced study for aspiring mechanical engineers, deepening expertise in core principles such as solid body mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science, while expanding skills in product design, computing, electrical engineering, electronics, and management topics like ethics, finance, and law.In the final year, students tackle specialised master's-level modules and a major group project—such as designing water filtration systems or applying fuel-cell technology to motorcycles—to build leadership and teamwork skills. Accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, it meets requirements for Incorporated Engineer status and fast-tracks to Chartered Engineer qualification. Options include four years full-time or five with a professional placement, using cutting-edge facilities to prepare graduates for in-demand engineering careers.
