From the first week, you'll engage in interdisciplinary studies: Year 1 covers general engineering with peers from other disciplines, Year 2 builds core knowledge in areas like materials science, structural analysis, hydraulics, and surveying. In Year 3, select from pathways such as Environmental Engineering, Flood and Coastal Engineering, or core civil engineering, with Year 4 offering advanced studies in your chosen area. An optional placement year between Years 2 and 3 provides practical experience, enhancing job prospects. Typical modules include Soil Mechanics and Water Infrastructure Engineering. Please note, this course does not award Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
