At Brunel, our programme nurtures your creativity and equips you with essential skills for multidisciplinary teams, starting with an interdisciplinary approach in Year 1.In Year 2, you will build core knowledge in subjects like materials science, structural analysis, hydraulics, and surveying. Year 3 provides flexibility, allowing specialisation in environmental engineering, flood and coastal engineering, or general civil engineering. A placement year between Years 2 and 3 offers practical experience in offices, design projects, or construction sites, enhancing graduate employability. Typical modules include Soil Mechanics, Geo-energy Engineering, and Water & Wastewater Infrastructure Design. Note that this course does not award Qualified Teacher Status.
