The Brunel Automotive Engineering MEng offers an additional year of advanced study for aspiring automobile engineers, enhancing expertise in mechanical fundamentals, vehicle design, performance, engines, transmission, materials, and safety. Students gain hands-on experience troubleshooting issues and benefit from research at the Centre for Advanced Powertrain and Fuels, focusing on reducing emissions and improving efficiency.In the final year, participants engage in master's-level topics and a major group project to develop low-carbon automotive products, fostering leadership and teamwork skills. Accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the programme meets requirements for Incorporated Engineer status and accelerates paths to Chartered Engineer qualification.
