Our Sport and Exercise Science course equips you with the skills to become a practitioner in the sport and exercise industry, supporting elite athletes or helping the public achieve their goals. You will divide your time between our expanded £71 million campus in Edgbaston, Birmingham, and the world-class Alexander Stadium in Perry Barr—host of the 2022 Commonwealth Games—featuring state-of-the-art laboratories, sports therapy rooms, cutting-edge resources, and dedicated sports areas. The University is investing an additional £5 million in stadium facilities for student use.The curriculum explores sport and exercise science through disciplines like physiology, psychology, and biomechanics, applied to performance, physical activity, health, and wellbeing.
