About the course

Our Mechanical Engineering degree will teach you how to engineer a better future. Develop as a skilled engineer capable of undertaking mechanical engineering tasks within and across organisations, and enhance your strategic management and leadership capabilities so you can solve tomorrow’s problems today.You will gain knowledge and personal attributes that embody sustainable futures and the Government’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) agenda to thrive in industry. You will work on industry-standard tools for rapid prototyping and thermodynamics, as well as learning to use the Conceive – Design – Implement – Operate (CDIO) teaching framework to work on projects which build practical experience.You may also have the chance to participate in the Engineering for People Design Challenge where you will have the opportunity to learn and practise the ethical, environmental, social and cultural aspects of engineering design, considering the UN sustainability goals while solving real problems for communities around the world, from clean drinking water to sustainable energy.With opportunities to engage in extracurricular activities, such as Formula Student and Engineering without Borders, this course will help you to become a highly skilled and fully rounded individual.
