About the course

A brand’s external image and reputation are as vital as its products or services. Our BA (Hons) Marketing with Advertising and Public Relations course equips you with practice-based skills for success in advertising and PR. You’ll acquire essential marketing knowledge, personal skills, and real-world experience valued by employers, focusing on employability, sustainability, and emerging technologies like AI, simulation, and data analytics. Join The Link Agency, our student-led in-house agency, to work on live projects for clients such as BullRing Shopping Centre, Acorns Children’s Hospice, and Solihull Moors FC.The curriculum covers core marketing principles—including consumer behaviour, budgeting, data analytics, digital enterprise, personal branding, PR, reputation and crisis management—plus employability and entrepreneurship. Enhance your skills via a paid one-year placement with partners like Sky, Johnson & Johnson, and Disney, or compete in The Pitch, the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s annual nationwide challenge. An optional professional placement year follows year two, supported by our networks (fees: 20% of full-time rate).
