About the course

Our BA (Hons) Applied Theatre programme is designed to nurture the next generation of dedicated and proficient theatre practitioners. It emphasises the development of essential skills and insights for producing impactful performances and purposeful theatre initiatives, while exploring both the methods and motivations behind theatre creation. The course includes an optional professional placement year, available after completing the second year, which provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with an employer and explore career paths in depth. Students can leverage the university's broad network of employers and careers support to secure a placement, with the possibility of transferring to the placement variant of the course. Note that fees apply during this year, equating to 20% of the full-time course fee. The primary application deadline for Acting courses is 29 January 2025 at 18:00 (UK time), though submissions after this date will still be considered for the 2025 intake.
