About the course

Our Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours) provides a strong foundation in the core knowledge, principles, technical, and professional skills essential to mechanical engineering. Students undertake core courses in the fundamentals of mechanical design, including solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, dynamics, vibration, control, and thermodynamics. A broad range of electives allows exploration across disciplines or specialization in areas such as advanced materials and mechanics, humanitarian engineering, or net-zero transitions.Beyond theory, hands-on opportunities abound through design-and-build projects, practical workshops, and up to 450 hours of industry placement. These experiences ensure graduates possess the knowledge and skills to excel as qualified mechanical engineers.
